About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our partner companies where the warehouse exists but nobody agrees what the numbers mean. You'll own the transformation layer: source definitions, staging and mart models, tests, documentation, and the semantic definitions behind the metrics leadership reads every Monday.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain dbt models from source through mart layers
  • Write tests and freshness checks that catch bad data before dashboards do
  • Define metrics and keep their definitions consistent across tools
  • Work with data engineers on ingestion contracts and schema changes
  • Partner with analysts and operators to model what they actually ask for
  • Document lineage so a number can be traced back to its source

Requirements

  • 4+ years in analytics engineering, data analysis, or data engineering
  • Advanced SQL, including window functions and incremental patterns
  • Production experience with dbt
  • Experience with a cloud warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
  • Python for scripting and light pipeline work
  • Excellent written and verbal English (B2+)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect
  • Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Mode, or Metabase
  • Exposure to reverse ETL and activation workflows
  • Background in a revenue or finance reporting function
