Frontend Engineer (React + Next.js)

About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our partner companies building consumer and B2B web products where the interface is the product. This is the single most common request we get from US startups. You'll own frontend architecture, performance, and accessibility, work closely with designers, and ship interfaces that convert and retain. You should be as comfortable with rendering strategy and bundle size as you are with pixel-level polish.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain frontend applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Own frontend architecture: state management, data fetching, routing, caching
• Implement and evolve design systems with Tailwind, shadcn/ui, or similar
• Drive performance: Core Web Vitals, bundle size, rendering strategy
• Ensure accessibility (WCAG) and cross-browser quality
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers on API contracts

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend development, 3+ with React and TypeScript
• Production experience with Next.js (App Router, server components)
• Strong CSS skills and experience with Tailwind or CSS-in-JS
• Experience with testing (Vitest, Jest, Playwright, Testing Library)
• Understanding of web performance and SEO fundamentals
• Excellent written and verbal English (B2+)

Nice to Have

• Experience with React Native or cross-platform code sharing
• Familiarity with Node.js APIs and full-stack work
• Experience with animation libraries (Framer Motion) and data visualization
• Experience with design tools (Figma) and design-system governance
