About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Embedded C++ Engineer to join our partner companies that build physical products. You'll write the code that runs on the board, from RTOS tasks and drivers on a microcontroller to services on embedded Linux. Expect real time with a scope and a logic analyzer during bring-up. These teams want C++17 and C++20 used with discipline: deterministic memory, no surprise allocations, and code the next engineer can still read a year later.

What You'll Do

  • Write and maintain firmware in modern C++ (C++17/20) on microcontrollers and SoCs
  • Build RTOS tasks, drivers, and HALs (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) for sensors, motors, and radios
  • Develop services and drivers on embedded Linux (Yocto, Buildroot)
  • Lead hardware bring-up with the electrical team: new boards, peripherals, and power states
  • Debug timing, memory, and concurrency bugs with JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
  • Set up unit tests, hardware-in-the-loop tests, and CI for firmware builds

Requirements

  • 5+ years of embedded software development, 3+ in C++ shipping to production devices
  • Solid modern C++: RAII, templates, constexpr, and memory control without a heap when needed
  • Experience with an RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX) and bare-metal ARM Cortex-M
  • Working knowledge of embedded Linux, cross-compilation, and device drivers
  • Comfortable reading schematics and datasheets and using lab equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal English (B2+)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with BLE, Wi-Fi, CAN, or other wireless and fieldbus protocols
  • Work on regulated products (IEC 62304, ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
  • Bootloaders, secure boot, and over-the-air firmware updates
  • Rust or Python for tooling and test automation

That's all for now. We'll ask for the rest (LinkedIn, exact rate, availability) on your profile later.

By submitting, you agree to our privacy policy and terms of service. We use your profile to match you to roles, and your work history to learn which companies hire Latin American engineers. When we contact one of those companies, we never mention you or show them your profile. Our public pages also show anonymous summaries of our vetted engineers (by skill, level and availability, never a group of fewer than five) and blind profiles without your name, employer or contact details (they show your seniority, experience, skills and your working-hours overlap with US Eastern time); email team@ruzora.com to be left off every public page.
