About the Role

We're looking for a Senior PHP Engineer with deep Laravel experience to join our partner companies building SaaS products, e-commerce platforms, and client applications. Modern PHP is a far cry from its reputation: Laravel powers a huge share of profitable US web businesses, and they need engineers who can architect clean systems, not just ship pages. You'll build APIs, queues, and integrations and keep a growing codebase maintainable.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build applications and APIs with Laravel
  • Model data with Eloquent and MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Build queues, scheduled jobs, and third-party integrations (Stripe, Twilio)
  • Write automated tests with PHPUnit or Pest
  • Build frontends with Livewire, Inertia, or Vue/React
  • Own deployments with Forge, Vapor, Docker, or CI pipelines

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional PHP development, 3+ with Laravel
  • Strong OOP, design patterns, and modern PHP 8 features
  • Solid SQL skills and experience with query optimization
  • Experience with Redis, queues, and caching strategies
  • Comfortable with Git-based workflows and CI/CD
  • Excellent written and verbal English (B2+)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Livewire, Inertia, or Filament
  • Experience with WordPress or Shopify integrations
  • Knowledge of AWS and serverless PHP (Vapor)
  • Contributions to the Laravel ecosystem
