About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join an early-stage startup as a Founding Engineer. You'll be one of the first technical hires, working directly with founders to build the product from scratch. This role requires versatility, ownership mentality, and the ability to make critical technical decisions. You'll have significant impact on the company's technical direction and culture.
What You'll Do
- Build the core product from 0 to 1 alongside founders
- Make key architectural and technology stack decisions
- Wear multiple hats: frontend, backend, infrastructure, and more
- Establish engineering best practices and culture
- Hire and mentor future engineering team members
- Collaborate closely with founders on product strategy
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Full-stack expertise across frontend and backend
- Experience building products from scratch
- Strong system design and architecture skills
- Ability to move fast and iterate quickly
- Excellent English communication skills (B2+)
Nice to Have
- Previous experience at early-stage startups
- Technical leadership or lead engineer experience
- Experience with startup fundraising or due diligence
- Track record of shipping successful products
